As one of the leading scientific institutions for hydrogen, fuel cells and electrolysis in Europe, ZBT is driving forward the research and development of hydrogen-based future technologies. The number of employees has therefore risen steadily in recent years, and we will continue to need new staff in our laboratories, at our desks and in the back office.

Side note: Scientific staff at our institute’s ZBT Research School have constant opportunities for exchange and further development. And our PhD Peer Mentoring Programme provides targeted support for doctoral projects.

Institute

In the more than 20 years of its existence, the ZBT has acquired comprehensive know-how in application-oriented research in the fields of fuel cells, hydrogen and electrolysis. With its expertise, the ZBT is a sought-after research and development partner and consulting service provider.

Equipment

We have high-end laboratories, a wide range of measuring instruments and individually developed test benches. In the Hy-Lab, we analyse hydrogen samples for purity and contamination. On our hydrogen test field, we examine the interaction of systems and components on a 1:1 scale. And at the hydrogen test station, we develop hydrogen filling stations and refuelling protocols.
