Together with Gräbener Maschinentechnik GmbH, RWTH Aachen University and the ZBT, FEV GmbH is currently developing a battery electric vehicle with a 30 kW fuel cell range extender module as a technology demonstrator for emission free long-distance emobility.
In cooperation with ZBT, FEV GmbH is offering the automotive industry outstanding fuel cell powertrain engineering support ranging from membrane, stack and fuel cell system development to vehicle integration and validation. FEV and ZBT can provide dedicated lab and testing services with testbenches for single cells, stacks, components and fuel cell systems up to powertrain testbenches and a test track for road testing.
With it’s commitment for ZBT’s supporting association FEV GmbH emphasizes that industry- and application oriented research and development is essential for product development for fuel cells and new energy technologies. Goal of the supporting association is the support of ZBT’s R&D activities in the field of fuel cell related technologies by e.g.:
- Support of fuel cell research and development at ZBT
- Supporting ZBT for (industrial) partner acquisition
- Support of ZBT for acquisition of sponsors
- Public relations
- Co-development of ZBT’s R&D program
