Fuel Cell Systems and Hydrogen Supply for Early Markets

EU-Project Completed: “LiquidPower”

The recently completed project LiquidPower dealt with R&D of fuel cell applications for early markets addressing the three topics on-site H2-production utilizing methanol as energy carrier, fuel cell systems for back-up power and telecommunication applications as well as fuel cell systems for material handling vehicles.

The partners ZBT and Catator AB aimed at the demonstration of a methanol fuel processor system of the 20 – 30 kW class. Focus of the ZBT activities have been R&D of a pressure swing adsorption plant (PSA) as well as system integration and operation of the complete fuel processor system at the ZBT facilities.

The successful demonstration work as well as results from the development process show the potential of pressurized reforming followed by PSA for the before mentioned fuel cell applications. For more information please refer to following documents.
